31 ( +1 | -1 ) Chess LingoI've heard of hog on 7 ( rook on 7th rank ) , blind swine ( rook on 7th rank with nothing to capture ).Family fork ( knight witch fork king and queen ), but last night I came across a new one, " Devils Crossroad" anyone know the board set up for this one? Or any other chess lingo?.....Thomas
23 ( +1 | -1 ) Family fork?A knight that attacks king+queen+rook is doing a family check. Blind swines? David Janowsky spoke of blind pigs, meaning two rook on your opponent's 7th rank, wreaking havoc.
22 ( +1 | -1 ) I know oneIn russian: "Pshol v obzhornij rjad", something like "went to an eating line" in english. Only "obzhratsa" in russian slang means more like -- eat like a pig (a lot and in an ugly fashion). Anyway it is tha same as hog on 7.
